The journey begins with a simple application.
We want to get to know you before accepting a deposit. Tell us about your home, lifestyle, other pets, children, and what you hope to find in your future Maine Coon.
We review every application within 24 hours and contact you with the next step.
We welcome your questions and specific wishes. This is personal, and understanding your expectations helps us guide you toward the right kitten.

How Long Does It Take to Get a Kitten From the Waitlist?
The typical wait time for a Maine Coon kitten on our priority list is 5 to 12 months. This timeline depends on your preferences for gender, color, and temperament, all of which can affect how quickly the right kitten becomes available.
Approved families on our waitlist are offered suitable kittens first. The more flexible you are, the sooner we may be able to find the perfect match.

How We Get to Know a Kitten’s Personality
From birth, I watch each kitten grow and get to know their personality.
As the litter develops, differences in temperament become easier to see. By around 5 weeks and older, each kitten’s personality is usually much clearer.
But sometimes the connection forms much earlier — even as early as 2 weeks of age. Some families know almost immediately which kitten they are drawn to.

What Happens During the Live Video Call
When you are ready to seriously consider a specific kitten, we meet by live video, usually on Zoom.
During this virtual meet-up, I introduce you to the kitten, answer your questions, and show you what I can already observe about their personality and development.

I don’t expect a kitten to ‘perform’ on a video call.
I pay more attention to the ordinary things — whether a kitten comes over on their own or prefers to watch first, how comfortable they are being handled, and how they interact with their littermates.
A photo can make you fall in love with a kitten. The video call helps us decide whether that kitten’s personality actually fits your home.
More than once, a family came to a video call interested in one kitten from the photos and ended up feeling a much stronger connection with another.
That is why I never want the call to feel like a presentation. I want families to see the kittens behaving normally so we can talk about the differences I see in them every day.

We do not currently allow in-home visits while our kittens are growing. They receive vaccinations in stages and are still vulnerable to viruses and bacteria that can be brought inside on clothing or shoes.
Our cats and kittens also live with us in our family home. Instead, I’m always happy to meet by live video. You can see the kitten live, look around the environment they are growing up in, and watch how they naturally interact with me and their littermates.

Review the Purchase Contract: Terms for Buyer & Breeder Protection
All kittens are sold with a Purchase Contract.
I’m happy to email the contract for review before you reserve a kitten. You will have time to read the terms and ask questions before making your decision.
The contract must be signed before your kitten leaves our care.
The Contract also outlines the remaining balance and final payment terms.
No. We do not make individual changes to our Purchase Contract. The Abbraccionese Maine Coon Cattery Purchase Contract was prepared by attorneys in Indiana to protect the buyer, the breeder, and the kitten.

Reserve Your Kitten: Submitting the $300 Reservation Deposit
Following the live video introduction and contract review, you are ready to secure your chosen Maine Coon.
Upon receipt of the deposit, the kitten is officially taken off the vailable list and its status changes to Reserved.

1. Until a deposit is received, I may be speaking with more than one approved family about the same kitten. A conversation about a kitten does not create an obligation for you or for me.

After Reservation: Veterinary Care &
Go-Home Preparation
What Happens After Your Kitten Is Reserved
Once your kitten is officially reserved, you stay connected while they prepare for their new family.
I will send occasional photos and videos so you can follow their development as they receive veterinary care and daily handling in our home.
Most kittens are ready to go home at approximately 12–14 weeks of age, after being spayed or neutered.
Some kittens may stay with us longer if they need additional care or if a spay/neuter appointment is delayed. We always make the go-home decision based on the individual kitten.

Veterinary clinics can book appointments well in advance, so once your kitten’s go-home timing is clear, I recommend scheduling the first visit ahead of time.

Socialization & Welcome Home: Pickup & Delivery
Daily family life is part of every kitten’s preparation.
Our kittens grow up cage-free in the heart of our home, constantly interacting with children, our two toy poodles, other cats, and normal household noises.
What to Expect By Go-Home Day
By go-home time, your kitten will be:
- Well socialized and comfortable with everyday household activities, people, and dogs.
- Familiar with brushing, grooming, and nail trimming.
- Fully litter box trained.
On Pickup Day
- Pay the remaining balance in full on pickup day.
- Activate your complimentary 30-day Trupanion pet medical insurance on pickup day. It is included at no cost to you and provides coverage for your kitten’s first month at home.
Pickup & Delivery
Pickup is available in Westfield with complimentary ground meet-ups within 2 hours in school time and personal in-cabin flight delivery for families farther away.
We welcome approved families from Carmel, Fishers, Zionsville, and Noblesville for personal kitten pickups.
Distance is not an issue: we offer safe, professional Maine Coon kitten delivery (flight nanny services) throughout the Midwest (including Chicago, Illinois, and Ohio), across the United States, and internationally to Canada and Mexico.
We welcome approved families from Carmel, Fishers, Zionsville, and Noblesville for personal kitten pickups.
Distance is not an issue: we offer safe, professional Maine Coon kitten delivery (flight nanny services) throughout the Midwest (including Chicago, Illinois, and Ohio), across the United States, and internationally to Canada and Mexico.
For families farther away, either my husband or I can personally accompany your kitten by air. Your kitten travels in the airplane cabin — never in cargo.
Flight delivery fee: $500 plus the cost of a round-trip airline ticket.

Meet-ups are typically scheduled during school hours and are completely free. If you live in Indiana (Carmel, Fishers, Zionsville, Noblesville) or a neighboring state (Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky), I can drive 1.5–2 hours from Westfield to meet you.

I know how my kittens were raised, what they were eating, what they were used to, and what is normal for them. That history can be surprisingly useful once they are in a new home.
Sometimes the question is simple — a kitten suddenly refuses a familiar food, gets an upset stomach after a change, or seems bothered by a paw because litter has caught in the long fur between the toes.
Send me a photo, a short video, or just tell me what you’re seeing.
If it is something I recognize, I’ll help you think through the next step. And if it looks like something a veterinarian should see, I’ll tell you that too — I would rather you ask than sit at home wondering.
